The Texettes, Terry Bradford and Helen Ellis, are a couple of Aussie "sophisticated urban hillbillies with unique style".
Performing as an acoustic duo their songs have rhythm and melody - voices sometimes sweet, sometimes tough, sometimes raw.
The Texettes music goes beyond genre definition, taking elements from country, pop, rock, blues, electronica and jazz, to create a complimentary genre.
Whether it be a pop treasure or a heart warming ballad, Terry's original lyrics, inspired by his surroundings and diverse life experiences, are intimate, heartfelt, mature and intelligent.
The Texettes latest album release "Fearless", contains twelve original songs. Guitar, piano, accordion, bass and drums (even Hammond organ) underpin and compliment the lush melodies and the duo's passionate and infectious vocals.
The album has a sense of fun but underlying that, there is a sadness and tenderness at its soul.
